The very people who are supposed to help
Some do their jobs and do them well. Some go to more trouble to avoid doing their jobs than doing their jobs would require. And some, instead, do things like this:
That poor mother! Unfortunately, it will be very hard for her to trust that anyone in that school district has her child's best interests at heart. It's hard enough finding the right help the way it is. Having to deal with cold, callous people like that is just beyond. :(
It's time to take this prejudice, this bigotry against special needs kids, adults and their families to another level.
To take a paraphrase from the summation statement in the movie "A Time to Kill"...now, just imagine that Anna was a minority and the extra piece of message was a racial slur...if you've seen the movie, it was an eye opening moment.
